Our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) Team have moved into a new office just off our main reception, where they are able to talk to patients and families who may need assistance.
The new office, next to our Patient Travel Office, was formally opened this morning, Wednesday 10 June, with James Paget Executive Managing Director Jonathan Gardner among those marking the launch.
Every individual hospital Trust has a Patient Advice and Liaison Service Team. Our team are here to assist patients from the Great Yarmouth and Waveney area, and anyone else who uses services at the James Paget University Hospital or at our other local sites, including the Newberry Child Development Centre.
The office move supports a long‑standing Trust priority to enable patients and visitors to speak to someone face to face if they have a concern. The aim is to help concerns to be resolved more quickly and improve patient experience. In some cases, PALS enquiries may now be resolved during the visit.
The PALS face to face service is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 3.30pm (excluding Bank Holidays). Outside of these hours, contact can still be made via pals@jpaget.nhs.uk or by calling 01493 453240.
